Insider Inc. and eMarketer to be combined

Axel Springer SE announced plans to bring together its U.S. companies Insider Inc. and eMarketer Inc. in 2020.
The combined group will provide unparalleled expertise and a unique global perspective on digital transformation for clients in many business sectors.
Insider Inc. publishes BUSINESS INSIDER and MARKETS INSIDER, the business news brands for the digital generation, and INSIDER, a general interest news brand. Insider Inc. has an audience of more than 170 million Unique Visitors around the globe (Google Analytics). The company offers a range of services, including free content, paid membership, and industry intelligence, all focused on digital transformation. BUSINESS INSIDER Intelligence (BII) provides subscribers with insight, data, and analysis on a wide and growing range of digital topics, including fintech, banking, and health.
eMarketer is a leading research authority in the digital space of marketing, media, and commerce. The company's data, proprietary forecasts and insights have become the gold standard for the industry. More than 1,100 companies have eMarketer subscriptions, with many Fortune 500 companies among them. The combined group will benefit from BII's expanding breadth of coverage and the large platform of BUSINESS INSIDER, while leveraging eMarketer's strong brand recognition, credibility, and proprietary methodology.

Insider Inc. and eMarketer will join forces on January 1, 2020. Henry Blodget, founder and CEO of Insider Inc., will serve as the CEO of the new group. President of the newly formed joint division for business information services will be Barbara Peng, currently President of BII. Geoff Ramsey, co-founder and Chief Content Officer of eMarketer, will become Chief Evangelist of the newly formed B2B division. Terry Chabrowe, co-founder and CEO of eMarketer, will serve on the board of directors and will advise on strategic decisions.

Insider Inc. employs around 500 people worldwide. About 160 people work at eMarketer. Both companies are based in New York.
